What’s Included?
Psychotherapy
Individual therapy can be done short- or long-term, depending on your preference. Sessions are 50 minutes long and can be done twice a week, weekly or every other week. We will have a conversation at the beginning of treatment to determine your plan, which can be adjusted later on if needed. I take a flexible approach because I believe you know what you truly need. I’m happy to contribute if you’re feeling lost, but the decision is ultimately up to you. See my main Services page for more information about my therapy techniques and approach.
Optional Clinical Assessment
If you’d like psychological testing, it is usually done over a series of 3 to 5 appointments lasting 2 to 3 hours each. We can do the testing in longer appointments over 1 or 2 days, but most people prefer to break it up. There is also a prorated hourly fee for scoring, interpretation and report writing outside of session. See fees below.
Some tests are hands on and interactive (for example, putting a puzzle together), while others involve self-report questionnaires and surveys.
This type of assessment can be used as a starting point for therapy; it provides me with a large amount of valuable information immediately.
Why Some People Choose Testing
Even though feedback isn’t all positive, my testing approach factors in your personal strengths and weaknesses to instill a sense of balance into your newly acquired self-awareness.
Testing also allows both of us to obtain a large amount of information very efficiently. To sit together and ask you all of the questions in a discussion takes longer, requiring more of your time and money.
I value your energy and time and want to honor your financial needs; if you are seeking a less conversational, speedier approach, testing provides us with a chance to deepen your insight and treatment rapidly. Tailoring my services to your individual needs is important to me; testing allows me to do just that.
